The DePERU project seeks a postdoctoral researcher to investigate decision-making processes under conditions of radical uncertainty. This interdisciplinary project, funded by the IdEX program at the University of Lille, explores how unprecedented global transitions shape human and animal decision-making. The position involves interdisciplinary literature review, experimental design, and modeling, with opportunities for theoretical and empirical contributions. This is a full-time, 18-month position based in Lille (with possible prolongations), France, starting February 15, 2025.

Financé par l’Université de Lille pour une durée de 4 ans (avec possibilité d’un renouvellement pour 4 années supplémentaires), le projet DePERU repose sur la participation de chercheurs issus de différentes disciplines (Économie, Science politique, Philosophie, Histoire, Psychologie, Sociologie, Sciences de Gestion, Biologie, Informatique…). Il est structuré en différents Work Packages : le WP5 auquel est rattaché cette mission s’intéresse plus spécifiquement à la structuration de recherches pluri et trans-disciplinaires, aux échanges avec les citoyens et la société et à la diffusion des méthodes et connaissances. La prise de poste est souhaitée en mai 2025.

The DePERU project seeks a postdoctoral researcher to investigate both historically and systematically the concept of radical uncertainty. This interdisciplinary project, funded by the IdEX program at the University of Lille, explores how unprecedented global transitions shape human and animal decision-making. The position involves research in the field of phenomenology, epistemology, logic and ontology of radical uncertainty. This is a full-time, 18-month position based in Lille (with possible extension), France, starting March 1, 2025.
